Common Questions
Currency Converter FAQs
What is a currency converter and how does the Matrix Forex one work?+
It is a tool that shows how much one currency is worth in another at the current market rate. Each Matrix Forex converter pair page reflects the live interbank rate with zero markup, so the figure you see is the real mid-market price rather than a bank quote with a 2 to 3 percent spread added. Pick a pair, enter an amount, and the calculator shows the converted value both ways.
Which currencies can I convert against the Indian rupee?+
You can convert 28 currencies to and from the rupee, including the US Dollar, Euro, British Pound, UAE Dirham, Australian Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Singapore Dollar, Japanese Yen, Swiss Franc, Thai Baht and Saudi Riyal, alongside the Swedish Krona, Norwegian Krone, Danish Krone, Hong Kong Dollar, Chinese Yuan, Malaysian Ringgit, South Korean Won, Czech Koruna and more. Every currency links to both directions.
Are the exchange rates on the converter live?+
The rates update from the live interbank market and are indicative. They are meant for planning and comparison. The final rate is confirmed at the moment you place an order or complete a transaction, since the market moves through the day.
Is the converted amount the rate I will actually get?+
Matrix Forex applies zero markup on the live interbank rate, so the transaction rate is far closer to the converter figure than a typical bank or airport counter, which usually adds a 2 to 3 percent spread. The exact rate is locked when you confirm your order.
Can I convert both to and from the rupee?+
Yes. Every currency offers two pages, for example US Dollar to INR and INR to US Dollar. Use the reverse link on each card to switch direction. This helps whether you are buying foreign currency for a trip or working out what leftover currency is worth back home.
How do I turn a conversion into an actual order?+
Once you know the rate, you can buy foreign currency notes, load a multi-currency forex card, or send money abroad under the RBI Liberalised Remittance Scheme. Matrix Forex is an RBI-authorised Category II Authorised Dealer, with same-day delivery in eligible cities and branch pickup across India.
Is there any markup or hidden fee in the rate?+
No markup is added to the interbank rate on the conversion itself. Applicable charges such as GST on the transaction and, where relevant, TCS on remittances above the annual threshold are shown transparently before you confirm, in line with RBI and FEMA rules.
Know the rate? Lock it in.
