Jordan and Mong Kok, up the Kowloon peninsula from Tsim Sha Tsui, are Hong Kong's market district and one of the most densely packed places on earth: night markets, specialist shopping streets, cha chaan teng cafes and cheaper hotels than the harbourfront. Jordan, Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok are consecutive stops on the MTR Tsuen Wan line.
Temple Street Night Market has no official hours: the street closes to traffic from 2 pm, stalls set up from about 4 pm, and it is busiest from about 7 pm to 9 pm, with open-air dai pai dong food stalls serving claypot rice and seafood. Jordan MTR exit A is closest. Bargaining is expected, in cash, and some stalls sell fake branded goods.
In Mong Kok, the Ladies' Market on Tung Choi Street trades from about noon to 11 pm, and Goldfish Street, the flower market and the free Yuen Po Street Bird Garden (7 am to 8 pm) are a short walk apart.
Indian passport holders can stay 14 days visa-free after the free online Pre-arrival Registration. There is no sales tax, but most restaurants add a 10% service charge and hotels a 3% accommodation tax.

Common mistakes in Jordan and Mong Kok
Flying without a PAR slip
Airlines check the printed, signed Pre-arrival Registration slip at boarding and turn away passengers without one. It is free and usually approved instantly online.
Arriving at Temple Street in the afternoon
Stalls only fill from about 4 pm, and the market comes alive after dark. Go in the evening.
Carrying too little cash
Market stalls and street food deal in cash, and bargaining needs small notes.
Paying full price for "designer" goods
Some stalls sell counterfeits. Treat brand names with scepticism, and bargain politely from well below the asking price.
